Well we’re still in May at the moment so there is absolutely plenty of time for you to submit a DI Frank Lyle story of your own for the charity anthology I am planning to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. Donations made through the sales of the anthology will help to train more specialist Macmillan nurses to provide essential emotional and practical support for people diagnosed with cancer.

The deadline for the competition is 1st July 2015. The story can be anything from 4,000 to 6.000 words in length and in any genre you wish, provided it features characters from the DI Frank Lyle Mystery series. Copyright for the story remains with the contributor for the purpose of the anthology, but it should be noted that, since the DI Frank Lyle series is my copyright, contributors will require my permission in writing to submit it elsewhere.
This morning I was delighted to receive a story from Katrina Bowlin-Mackenzie entitled Family. If the standard of all contributions is as high then my decision as to who will win the DI Frank Lyle signed paperback of their choice will be an extremely difficult one. I know that there are other people out there working on DI Lyle stories of their own and I look forward to seeing what they come up with.
Incidentally you can take my DI Lyle anthology survey here
If you have any questions about the DI Lyle series that you cannot find the answers to here or in the books themselves then please feel free to Email me
I’ve long wanted to crack the ebook market in Brazil and Latin America, but have never sold a book there. I believe this is due to the language barrier. I have uploaded details of the main DI Lyle novels to Babelcube. It is my hope that I can get the books translated into Spanish and Portuguese, making them accessible to Mexican and Brazilian readers. No offers of translations yet, but it’s early days.
Keep on writing your DI Lyle stories.
